Privacy
Short version: we collect what you give us. If you buy the boxed edition, that's what we need to send it to you. If you write to us, it's your message. We use it for Krampusnacht and nothing else.
This note covers clovenhoofclub.com, krampusnachtgame.com and email we send from hello@clovenhoofclub.com. If you bought from our former Etsy shop, that purchase is covered by Etsy's privacy policy.
What we collect
- If you make an invitation on the party guide: your first name, the party date and the time the doors open, so Lowkey can write the card.
- If you buy the boxed edition, the host's kit or a sweater: your name, email address, billing address, the shipping address for anything we post, and what you ordered. You pay on a checkout page run by Stripe. Stripe handles your card; we never see the full card number.
- If you write to us: your message and your email address.
- When you visit: which pages you open, whether you click a checkout button and for what, phone or desktop, and where the visit came from (for example TikTok, or a creator's link). We count these without cookies, and without your name, email, address or IP address, to see which pages and posts lead to a sale.
We don't run advertising trackers on either site.
What we do with it
- Write the invitation you asked for.
- Fill your order and write to you about it, including when it ships.
- Answer your mail.
- Count visits and checkout clicks, as totals, to see what works.
- Nothing else. We don't sell, rent or trade your details.
Who can see it
- Netlify, our website host, stores sign-ups, invitations and the visit counts on our behalf.
- Stripe processes payments and keeps the order records.
- Printful knits and ships the sweaters, so it gets the name, address and email for a sweater order.
- Zoho runs our mailbox, hello@clovenhoofclub.com. Replies to you are sent from it.
- The postal service sees the name and address on your parcel.
Their staff can access what they hold to run their service, and their own privacy policies apply to that. Nobody else gets it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as we need them to fill the order and keep the business and tax records the law requires.
Your choices
- See or delete what we hold. Email us and we'll send it or delete it, except order records we're required to keep.
- Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over your data, including access, correction and deletion. Ask and we'll honor them.
Cookies
The site stores a few small settings in your browser: that you already signed up, so we don't ask twice; the name, date and time you put on your invitation, so the form is filled in when you come back; your choices on the narrated night; and, if a creator's link brought you here, that creator's name for 30 days, so they're credited if you buy; and, for the visit counts, a random visit number and where the visit came from, which last only until you close the tab. None of these are cookies. They stay on your device and we never see them, except that a creator's name goes with your order to the checkout, and the visit number and where you came from go with the visit counts. Stripe's checkout page uses its own cookies to take payment and prevent fraud; Stripe's privacy policy covers those.
Children
This is a game for grown-ups. The sites aren't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
